Dr. Oruganti received his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College, Osmania University Hyderabad in Hyderabad, India, in 1982. He completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine, followed by gastroenterology at Osmania Medical College, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He worked as attending staff and assistant professor of gastroenterology from 1992-1994. He subsequently completed an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
His special areas of interest include inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening and liver disease. He presently practices in three Digestive Specialists locations in the Greater Dayton area: Huber Heights, Beavercreek and Kettering.
Dr. Oruganti is a member of several GI societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), Montgomery County Medical Society (MCMS), Greene County Medical Society (GCMS) and the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA).
Dr. Oruganti is board-certified in gastroenterology.
