You will receive an easy to understand, all-inclusive bill for office visits provided at Digestive Specialists Inc. In order to provide you with the best care possible, multiple services are combined for a procedure, but must be billed separately. This means you may receive up to four statements for different aspects of your care. For your procedure, you will receive a statement from Digestive Specialists Inc. for the physician to perform the procedure. There will be a statement from Digestive Endoscopy Center, LLC for the facility and equipment fees along with a statement for anesthesia services. You will receive a statement from GI Pathology of Dayton only if a polyp is removed or tissue is biopsied.
The Cost of Your Procedure
Because you are responsible for costs for covered healthcare services until you reach your deductible, you should comparison shop if you elect to have a nonemergency procedure.
You can use tools like Healthcare Bluebook and the Medicare Procedure Price Lookup (for Medicare patients). Many health insurance websites also provide information on where to find in-network services.
