Dr. Michael Sherman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University. After working as an engineer in Texas for four years, he earned a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Utah and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York. He then completed residency in Internal Medicine at the San Antonio Military Medical Center followed by fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Dr. Sherman served 11 years as a physician in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Sherman has provided inpatient Gastroenterology care with Digestive Specialists since 2018 while also leading the Gastroenterology clinic at Wright Patterson Medical Center. Dr. Sherman specializes in all areas of Gastroenterology with an interest in Eosinophilic Esophagitis.
Dr. Sherman is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
In addition to Gastroenterology Dr. Sherman enjoys fitness, sports, music, BBQ, and volunteering with the youth in his local religious congregation. Most of all, he cherishes spending time with his wife, four children, two sons-in-law, and grandson.
